Women have unique strengths and challenges in entrepreneurship. The Mama Ladder helps ambitious mom entrepreneurs grow their businesses. They want to see more moms reach $1 million revenue in their companies, and the #HighFiveGrant is to help you get there.
If you’re both a mother and business owner: they see you, they support you, and they recognize your efforts with your company and kid(s). These grants are not venture capital, and never need to be paid back. They see it as a boost to help you grow!
Evaluation Criteria | High Five Grant for Mom Entrepreneurs
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
You ARE A MOM! This grant is exclusively for women caregivers with human child(ren) of all ages. If your children are adults, we say: “Once a mom, always a mom.” This grant also welcomes first-time expecting moms, stepmoms, and foster moms.
You own at least 50% of a for-profit product or service-based business and are serious about growth.
You can verify earning business revenue in the past 12 months, between $10,000 to $500,000 annual revenue.
Your business is headquartered in the United States or Canada.
Grantee Obligations
There are no specific requirements on how to allocate the funds.
Benefits
High Five Grant for Mom entrepreneurs will be awarded to 8 business owners in amounts ranging from $1,000 - $10,000. Depending on the prize level awarded (i.e. grand prize, first runner up, etc.), the recipients will also receive professional services to grow their company, workshop ticket to attend The Mama Ladder's signature event, and/or a travel voucher.
