I had a great experience at Viola’s Bar & Grill in Nassau, Bahamas. We ordered a variety of dishes, and every item was delightful. The portions were generous, and the food was fresh and flavorful. The vibe is super casual, and we felt comfortable in our beachwear right after leaving the beach. In fact, most of the other diners seemed to have just come from the sand as well! The restaurant is open-air, with no indoor seating, so be prepared for the elements.
However, there was one small hiccup. When we first arrived, the restaurant's payment system was down, but they didn’t inform us about it upfront. When we asked about paying by credit card before being seated (which is important since not all small businesses in the Bahamas accept them), they didn’t mention the issue with the system. Thankfully, we had enough cash to cover our sizable bill, but had we not, it would’ve been quite a hassle to drive back to our hotel, which was 25 minutes away, to grab more cash. It’s a minor thing, but a heads-up would’ve been helpful.
