The Swimming Pig at Baha Mar
Looking for where to eat and drink in Nassau, Bahamas?
The Swimming Pig at Baha Mar puts an elegant spin on the classic comforts of a typical English pub with an emphasis on gourmet cuisine and draft beers. The Swimming Pig menu is characterized by aesthetically balanced dishes that marry innovative ideas with distinct, contrasting flavors. Jump-start your day with made-to-order omelets, island-style French Toast, and other hearty classics, or recharge your lunch or dinner with a savory fare of conch, sliders, burgers, flatbreads, and other pub favorites.
My 2 Cents
My experience at the Swimming Pig was absolutely awful. We walked in and the hostess didn't greet us. We then proceeded to seat ourselves at the bar. There were multiple bartenders and servers behind the bar none of them spoke to us or waited on us. There was also empty glasses and plates that need to be removed and the bar need to be wiped down. A couple sat at the bar a few minutes after us and were immediately waited on. My friend went to the hostess stand to request the manager. After she explained the situation, he apologized, comped our first round of drinks, and waited on us until we left. We did greatly appreciate how he handled the situation. However, it was only after he stepped in that the other staff even acknowledged our presence.
The food was mid and the ONLY reason I would even recommend this restaurant is because it's open 24 hours. So if you're looking for food and drinks late night, this might be your only option.
The Vibe: Sports bar, upscale pub, lively
Important Tips: The manager told us that on Fridays and Saturdays after the night club closes (2am), it gets rowdy and busy. Plan accordingly.
